Mystra and the Way of the Keepers ReviewI have recently purchased and read "Mystra and the Way of the Keepers" and was utterly fascinated with the style of writing and the profound content found in such a genre. I enjoy reading various types of fictional and non-fictional publications, and in this case, I was searching for a different kind of fantasy-oriented book. I had noticed the 'Body-Mind-Spirit' topic for "Mystra" and became intrigued as I read the summary of the story found on the back cover. Once I started reading this book, I found it difficult to put down and just had to finish chapters at a time to find out how the characters develop through their journey. I purposefully use the word 'develop' to describe the events surrounding the characters and the world around them as I found this was no ordinary fantasy novel. What the readers will find is that they will be drawn into a parallel journey of self-discovery and awareness alongside the main characters as they find themselves in different situations, challenges and personal growth. This book had been written in a well-thought out manner and I found little pieces of enlightenment along the way as can be found in the beginning of each chapter. The author sets up brief but meaningful preambles to each chapter in which I found connections to my own personal experiences and those which we may face in our lifetime. These enlightening words are then followed by the storyline in which the main characters seemingly live out those wonderful summaries as each chapter unfolds. Obviously I will not give away any of the story or the plot for that matter, however I truly believe it its one of those books that each reader will achieve their own individual lessons and/or enlightenment from.
