Timmy Mouse ( a Rand McNally Junior Elf Book ) ReviewI remember this book vividly from when I was a child. I looked for it for years and recently found it in an antique store. The pictures are precious. This adorable story is about Timmy Mouse whose parents leave to find more food and don't come back. Timmy cares for his baby sister as best he can, but their cabinets are quickly bare. Then he tries to find a new home for her. It is on his search for a home for the baby when he wanders into the town dump and finds his parents trapped under a bucket. He is able to free them with the baby's toy umbrella. His mother is so glad the baby hasn't been given away, and they go back home together carrying a large rind of cheese to fill their pantry.
