Betrayal (Ruin Mist: A Daughter of Kings, Comic #1) ReviewStanek is an amazing storyteller and in this visual medium he excels. The story is tight, the dialogue sizzles, and the characters come to life in living color.
Betrayal is the first of four comics in "A Daughter of Kings." It tells the story of Delinna Alder and Great Kingdom years before the Kingdoms and Dragons books begin. The story takes place in Imtal, mostly.
Delinna is one of King Andrew's daughters. The story begins with Xith's return to Imtal in the middle of the night. He has been on a long search and now returns with the object of his search -- one of the orbs of power. Delinna hopes the orb can answer her questions about a prophecy, but the orb has other plans.
With plenty of striking artwork, this is an amazing opening installment and well worth it.
