I found this book to be a good adventure. It is written to any and all who love to be enchanted by a new way of looking at and living life.
The characters are clear - pure in the sense they are what they are. The main characters reflect the best we know in humans although they are twin elves. They are kind, loving, protective, willing to sacrifice their comfort to help in time of need, sometimes fierce and angry; in short, believable in a any world.
There is a Dwarf who resembles someone from Brooklyn - complete with a Scot's accent. Gruff, unafraid and teaching the main character to be upstanding and unafraid. I'd have liked to "talk" with him at times; but he's a good Dwarf, at heart.
I loved them all as they were appropriate to the story; learned from them ways that I would never have thought of; recognized people in some of the characters and enjoyed the reading! The scenes bring you into them and the imagery is wonderful. You could live in some of those places.
Curtiss Robinson has done a GREAT job of portraying all his characters and their environs, commitments and the actions they must take to ensure all are protected.
I recommend this book for anyone over the age of 12. Fun, good ideas and teaching, just plain good reading from an exciting new author!
