We meet vampires and learn about the relationship between them and elves a bit more, and that even the monsters can have feelings. I liked it because the kids are more important than the adults in solving the problems which arise. Several werewolves, including her son Johnny's best friend Ren were there as well as Thessa the witch and the annoyingly arrogant Mathon, the Lord of the high elves in Dragon's Reach.When the flowers blossomed, they gave off a magical light and music, but they also called to the blood of the creature whose essence had been planted with the flowers.
