Agents And Adepts ReviewThis sixteen story collection introduces readers to a fabulous fantasy author who effortlessly creates realms so magical that readers will finish AGENTS AND ADEPTS in one sitting (this reviewer broke her rule of a tale or two a day over a couple of weeks). Each contribution insures that characters, including mythological and personification of planets and animals, seem very genuine. An added bonus is that several entries provide a delightful glimpse into the wizard world of the CRYSTAL THRONE. If the quality of these short stories is any indication of the novel, this reviewer will compete with other readers to obtain a copy.
Using humor that is rarely seen in the typical save the world or die genre, Kathryn Sullivan furbishes a wonderful book that makes fantasy seem real, fun to read, and entertaining. Just set aside a few hours because the exploits of the twins and others will make the audience complete in one delightfully entertaining sitting. Ms. Sullivan is an adept (and I am not her agent) worth reading.

The Demon Apostle (The Demonwars Saga) ReviewI found this book awe inspiring, for any true fan of Salvatore's this is a must read and if you are just a fantasy fan you can't go far wrong with this master piece. The book folows many twists and turns from hope to dispair and back again taking the reader along for the ride. The book lacks nothing and wets your appetite for the next adventure. Salvatore has shown us that he still has the ability to write a great adventure after doubts sprung from the continuation of the legendary Drizzt saga which is beginning to spiral out of control. The book follows a well structured path which leaves the reader spending countless hours turning page after page with no realisation of time. Con & Conjure (Raine Benares) ReviewThis is the fifth book in the Raine Benares, and if you like fantasy and a strong female heroine this book is for you. It also contains a ton of action (really it's hard to catch your breath) with a good bit of humor. I found myself laughing out loud in several scenes.
In this book, Raine is still trying to get rid of the magical rock (aka Saghred) that she picked up in the first book (Magic Lost Trouble Found) The people working against her are doing their best to start a war between goblins and elves.
Some interesting new characters become a big part of the book namely Mago, Raine's cousin & expert thief, and Rache, Raine's ex-fiance & an assassin. Both characters bring a lot of comic relief. We also get to see a lot more of some of my favorites Imala (Chief goblin intelligence officer), Michael (Head of Guardians), and Tam (Chief goblin magical enforcer).
The good news is that some of Raine's enemies do get what they deserve only after creating a lot of trouble for Raine. The bad news is that as other reviewers mentioned there is not a lot of development for the overall series plot. However, I love the characters so much that I really don't mind that this is the fifth book and the author has already said there will be a sequel.
I would recommend reading the first four books before this one because 1) the plots are fairly intricate with a lot of characters & 2) because they are awesome especially #4 Bewitched & Betrayed. However, the author usually gives back story information that will get you through.
I have LOVED this series since I picked up the first book on a whim. My recommendation - buy all 5 books.

Blood Magic (Haven Series #5) ReviewEach book in the Haven series is short, so I read the books back to back in order to make one big fantasy book. Because of this, I am rating the whole series as if it was one book. The Haven series is a great read, and a worthy addition to my Kindle library! Fans of the Fantasy genre will love it, as it includes all the things a fantasy fan craves, without becoming stale and predictable. The many races I have come to know and adore/loathe as this 'book' developed are the Riverfolk, Wee folk, Fae, Kindred, Gnomes, Kobolds, Goblins, Merlings, and the Dead. Though the races are many and varied, the plot never becomes too confusing, and I was always able to keep track of what was going on without difficulty. The author manages to make each race separate and best of all, intriguing. My favorite part of the series was the idea of the jewels of power, and seeing how each jewel worked, and what they could do. It was interesting to see how each race was affected by who had which jewel, and to see all the consequences. There was great character development and great race development throughout the series. I enjoyed the characters immensely, though they all have their flaws. There is one thing that I noticed throughout the series, and that was sub par editing (that being said...sorry for any grammar mistakes I've made in this review!). It DID NOT detract from the story in any way, though, so it didn't bother me. I can't wait to read what is next by this author.
