Ardan's mission in Samurai Elf Vol 2 is to find the Master Dwarf. As always, Samurai Elf Vol 2 proves to be not only intricately drawn, but stylish too.
The head of the Horde, a multi eyed machine in the shape of a pyramid has sent two Bounty Hunters to find Ardan. Vivid action scenes, where martial arts and sword play come alive, reminiscent of the soldier's battle in ancient Rome and in ancient Greece. The machines, including the human characters are quick witted, showing camaraderie. The authors show their enthusiasm as the story continues, revealing more picturesque settings, reminiscent of ancient Rome, or of other times in history, or even the future. In this adventure, however, the heroes of this story are not only engaged in conflict which machine like members of the Horde, but participate in a frantic search for the Master Dwarf in a Roman like town.
Ardan and Keegan do make it to the nearest city. All the while, they bitch and argue with each other. Yes please remember there is a subplot of two Bounty Hunters searching for them. Samurai Elf Vol 2 is more stylish then Samurai Elf Vol 1. Samurai Elf Vol 2 almost resembles a western based in an anciet Roman town where its inhabitants regularly use high technology in their daily lives, or in defending themselves. One other characteristic that separates this work from the main stream- most of the characters are multicultural, specifically drawn to match their well defined characters. This book could have been a quick and an easy read, but the writers took their time in crafting a well thought out story, which comes complete with twists and turns, demanding the readers attention. The authors do occasionally take a break, breathing humor into the work. For example, in one scene a group of individuals attack an old lady, who then proves to be more stronger then they imagined. Another scene they inject humor into the work is when Ardan has a nightmare and catches a scantily clad Keegan in the bath tube. Towards the end, the reader gets a sense that Elf would be a vital addition to any military machine. When Ardan and Keegan agree to split up for good, they are attacked by strange metallic machine beings, which adds a quick dose of suspense. The drawings are vivid in its illustration. The writers of this tale write with enthusiasm, which makes it easier for the reader to enjoy.
Just then the Bounty Hunters show up and everything hits the fan. Everything ends on a cliff hanger, but an Afterwards section clears up any misconceptions. Incredible imagery and a well thought out story, complete with intervals of humor make Samurai Elf Vol 2 a surprising gem for those needing an escape from the negatives of our times, or any other times to come. It is a timeless classic for the ages. Let Miguel Guerra and Suzy Dias take you on a journey into the wonderful world of Samurai Elf Vol 2, where adventure and imagination come alive.

Samurai Elf (book 2): Bulls Eye OverviewArdan and Keegan have finally reached Castel, but frustration and anger are escalating between them as they butt heads over how to get to Tev Dar to find master Dwarf. Their situation is further strained when they meet the beautiful Catalina Xanas, captain of the airship, Nuberu.
Hot on their heels are two bounty hunter dwarves named Bone and Clyde, who are determined to collect the hefty bounty on Ardan s head. To make matters worse they are about to cross paths with one of the Horde s nastiest fighting machines, The Hunters.
Master Dwarf has crawled out of the rubble that was once the Temple of Ithra and is on his way to the island fortress of Arma to warn them about the Horde, find reinforcements and gather a search party to find Ardan. All the while, Bjorn Wulfston gets a surprise visit from a very battered and bruised friend, Jarl Rig, who barely escaped the attack on the Temple.
Meanwhile, the Horde is recovering from the loss of a commander that was killed by Master Dwarf. Lopt, the enigmatic mastermind behind the Horde, is reassessing the weaknesses in his army as he begins the next upgrade for his soldiers. Lopt is determined to capture Ardan, but his plan for the domination of Tyr is beginning to fall into place as key events take hold. The walls are slowly closing in on Ardan as he is put in the Bull s Eye.
